Overview Front of House Manager Italian Restaurant Management Kitchen Manager

Location & Employer Somerset West - Premium Italian style restaurant, open kitchen environment.

Purpose of the Role Lead and manage the kitchen operation while overseeing front of house flow. Protect quality daily, train teams to work to system, and ensure the guest experience consistently reflects the restaurant's values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the kitchen team with calm, consistent, hands on leadership
  • Ensure strict adherence to recipes, prep methods, portion control and Italian cooking techniques
  • Maintain disciplined mise en place, storage, labelling and stock rotation
  • Monitor heat control, timing and technique to prevent waste, burning or poor execution
  • Taste food daily and correct quality issues immediately
  • Train and retrain staff to ensure standards are followed automatically
  • Prevent shortcuts and poor prep practices through proactive supervision
  • Oversee kitchen cleanliness, organisation and operational efficiency
  • Manage stock control, ordering, waste reduction and prep planning
  • Maintain a visible, professional presence in an open kitchen environment
  • Oversee front of house flow, pacing and communication to support smooth service
  • Stepping in early to address service or communication breakdowns between kitchen and FOH
  • Lead by example with punctuality, professionalism and attention to detail
  • Provide feedback and operational input to owners to support continuous improvement
Criteria
  • Proven experience in a kitchen leadership or kitchen management role
  • Strong background in Italian or Italian style cuisine, pizza and pasta experience a distinct advantage
  • Disciplined approach to systems, standards and consistency
  • Confident and fair leader able to correct staff and hold standards without aggression
  • Experience managing kitchen teams, prep schedules, stock control and service delivery
  • Comfortable working in an open kitchen environment and representing the brand daily
  • Solid understanding of health, safety and hygiene standards
  • Organised, observant and detail focused
  • Able to remain calm, focused and effective under pressure
  • Formal culinary training is advantageous
Additional Opportunities Debtors Administrator - Cape Town (Kraaifontein): Oversee debtors' book and collections, reconcile cash ups, and handle payment receipt functions.

Purpose of the Role Manage debtor accounts, ensure timely collections, reconcile cash ups, and maintain accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup and maintain customer accounts and contact details
  • Allocate payments and monitor age analysis
  • Enforce credit policies and follow up on overdue accounts
  • Communicate professionally with clients regarding outstanding amounts

Criteria
  • Matric
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration advantageous
  • At least 4 years' experience in debtors' control or finance administration
  • Solid understanding of credit policies and cash management
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and reconciliation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant accounting software
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
Internal Sales/Office Administrator - Caledon / Villiersdorp Purpose of the Role Provide efficient internal sales support and administrative coordination for the aggregates mining operation. Ensure accurate order processing, customer service excellence, logistical coordination, and smooth day to day office operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process customer orders (telephonic, email, walk in clients)
  • Prepare and issue quotations
  • Confirm pricing, stock availability, and delivery schedules
  • Capture orders on internal systems (ERP/accounting system)
  • Generate invoices, delivery notes, and statements
  • Follow up on outstanding quotations and back orders
  • Liaise with dispatch and production teams to coordinate deliveries

Requirements & Soft Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field
  • 3-5 years' experience in a generalist HR role

  • Experience with EE reporting, WSP and ATR submissions, and BEE administration

Warehouse Manager - Hazyview Purpose of the Role Complete management, coordination, and optimisation of all warehouse activities related to the receiving, drying, storage, sorting, processing and shipping of nuts.

Experience & Qualifications
  • At least 5 years' experience in a warehouse, production or processing management role
  • Experience in the operational production management of a processing plant or warehouse
  • Tertiary qualification in operations management or a relevant field
  • Experience in leading personnel and planning and reporting on processes
  • Knowledge of macadamia, nut or seed processing industry is a plus
Responsibilities
  • Manage all warehouse receipts, weighing, documentation, sampling and quality control
  • Supervise the drying process and inventory control in each storage facility
  • Optimise flow between drying rooms, storage areas, sorting and processing
  • Ensure safety standards and risk control are maintained
  • Manage staff planning and shift scheduling
  • Report daily, weekly and monthly figures to the general manager

  • Plan, coordinate and oversee domestic and international shipments
  • Coordinate cargo, sea and road freight, ensuring hazardous goods compliance
  • Manage inventory, stock reconciliation and audit ready records
  • Ensure customs, trade and regulatory compliance, including IATA/IMDG/WEEE
  • Control logistics documentation, certificates, invoices and shipping records
  • Manage asset registration, tracking and maintenance of company assets
  • Coordinate supplier, freight and insurance liaison, including cost quotations

Requirements
  • Grade 12 (Logistics related certifications advantageous)
