Key Responsibilities
- Lead the kitchen team with calm, consistent, hands on leadership
- Ensure strict adherence to recipes, prep methods, portion control and Italian cooking techniques
- Maintain disciplined mise en place, storage, labelling and stock rotation
- Monitor heat control, timing and technique to prevent waste, burning or poor execution
- Taste food daily and correct quality issues immediately
- Train and retrain staff to ensure standards are followed automatically
- Prevent shortcuts and poor prep practices through proactive supervision
- Oversee kitchen cleanliness, organisation and operational efficiency
- Manage stock control, ordering, waste reduction and prep planning

- Setup and maintain customer accounts and contact details
- Allocate payments and monitor age analysis
- Enforce credit policies and follow up on overdue accounts
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding outstanding amounts
- Reconcile daily cash ups from stores and drivers
- Process receipts, payouts, and banking
- Ensure correct cash handling and security procedures

Experience & Qualifications
- At least 5 years' experience in a warehouse, production or processing management role
- Experience in the operational production management of a processing plant or warehouse
- Tertiary qualification in operations management or a relevant field
- Experience in leading personnel and planning and reporting on processes
- Knowledge of macadamia, nut or seed processing industry is a plus
- Manage all warehouse receipts, weighing, documentation, sampling and quality control
- Supervise the drying process and inventory control in each storage facility
- Optimise flow between drying rooms, storage areas, sorting and processing
- Ensure safety standards and risk control are maintained
- Manage staff planning and shift scheduling
- Report daily, weekly and monthly figures to the general manager
- Implement and maintain SOPs for all warehouse processes
- Plan, coordinate and oversee domestic and international shipments
- Coordinate cargo, sea and road freight, ensuring hazardous goods compliance
- Manage inventory, stock reconciliation and audit ready records

- Grade 12 (Logistics related certifications advantageous)
- 10+ years' experience in logistics, shipping or inventory management
- Driver's licence and own/reliable transport
- Fluent English and Afrikaans; willingness to work occasional overtime
- First point of contact for end user IT support (phone, instant messaging, in-person)
- Log, process, and document IT service requests
- Provide hardware and software support, troubleshooting, and user assistance
- Support and maintain desktops, laptops, Windows OS, Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, Active Directory, printers, networking equipment and VoIP systems
