We're Hiring: SADC Regional Growth Executive

Location: SADC Region (Frequent international travel required)
Business Unit: Merchant Division

Purpose of the Role

The SADC Regional Growth Executive holds ownership of high level management, sales expansion, and growth performance across the SADC Region.

  • Leading and managing international sales and growth structures
  • Co developing new country expansion strategies
  • Designing primary route to market plans for new territories
  • Leading direct sales teams, independent agents, franchise partners, and country leadership structures
  • Joint ownership of International P&L, including revenue delivery, cost control, device deployment, and operational expense management
  • Aligning regional execution with Lesaka's marketing, brand, and strategic objectives
  • Overseeing international sales administration, device coordination, customer support structures, and segmentation analytics
  • Managing strategic go to market planning and identifying new products/services for regional adoption

This role forms part of a high impact, multidisciplinary African leadership team-driving Lesaka's footprint, digitisation agenda, and financial inclusion across the continent.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Development
  • Build culture and align regional initiatives to company strategy and budget
  • Lead and develop field sales managers, sales representatives, and distribution agents
  • Recruit skilled and driven staff across countries in alignment with growth strategy
  • Build strong partnerships with independent Sales Agents and Franchise partners
  • Maintain trusted relationships with Head Office and operational teams while operating independently
Sales & Marketing Execution
  • Grow regional revenue across Payments, ADP, Software, and Credit
  • Drive results across both Direct Sales and Agency channels
  • Monitor performance through CRM systems for optimal distribution
  • Identify new geographic and trading node opportunities
  • Ensure strong brand custodianship and alignment across all teams and partners
Customer Retention
  • Monitor merchant activity and performance to maximise ARPU and lifecycle
  • Work with Head Office to enforce support SLAs
  • Ensure strategic alignment across retention, support, and operational channels
Cost Control
  • Ensure overall control of sales staff and operational costs in alignment with budgets
Reporting & Governance
  • Ensure weekly and monthly reporting to the Leadership Team
  • Establish weekly management cycles with sales teams
  • Align retention reporting with Business Support and Sales
  • Prepare ad hoc reports for newly identified initiatives and evolving projects
Competencies - Knowledge, Skills & Attributes Commercial, Leadership & Technical Competencies
  • Knowledge of VAS and Payments industries and their dynamics
  • Strong preference for experience in FMCG, Liquor, or comparable distribution sectors
  • Proven ability to lead sales & support teams across dispersed geographies
  • Strong commercial acumen with cost centre leadership experience
  • Entrepreneurial flair and the ability to think and act quickly
  • Strong Excel and data analytics capability
Education
  • Matric exemption (minimum)
  • Degree or diploma in Business, Sales, or Marketing preferred
  • Strong computer literacy
Administrative, Communication & Technical Skills
  • Ability to lead in a computerised sales environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office (email, Word, Excel) proficiency
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills
  • Strong numeric and analytical skills
  • Excellent English communication (verbal & written)
