ROAD TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT INTERN - LOGISTICS

We are seeking a motivated Transport Intern to support the Transport and Logistics team with daily coordination, administration, and compliance activities. This role offers hands on exposure to transport operations, route planning, and fleet management within a fast paced environment.

• Assist with daily route planning and load scheduling under supervision
• Capture and update trip information including pick ups, deliveries, ETAs and PODs
• Communicate with drivers regarding departures, delays, incidents, and delivery confirmations
• Prepare and maintain transport documentation such as delivery notes, trip sheets and invoices
• Monitor fleet utilisation and support reporting on KPIs and operational performance
• Support compliance processes including permits, vehicle files and SOP adherence
• Escalate service issues, safety risks, and customer complaints to supervisors
• Provide general administrative support to the Transport/Logistics

• Diploma in Transport Management
• Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, Outlook, Word) with strong data capturing ability
• Strong communication skills and professional telephone etiquette
• Attention to detail with good document control practices
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
• Problem solving mindset and willingness to learn
• Team player with the ability to follow instructions and take feedback
• Basic understanding of health and safety principles
• Interest in transport operations, logistics and customer service
