Job Description
Access World is a global commodity warehousing and logistics business. We specialize in handling, Storage, and processing of commodities including non-ferrous and ferrous metals, ferroalloys, project cargo, oil & gas, and other agricultural products. We are an approved warehouse keeper of the London Metal Exchange, and we provide LME warehousing and associated services to traders, producers, financiers, and consumers of base metals. In addition, we provide physical warehouse and related logistics services for commodities such as cocoa beans, rubber, cotton, and other agricultural products. Access World also acts as collateral manager of ferroalloys, minor metals as well as oil and gas. Regions operate in semi-autonomous offices with their corporate functions including commercial, finance HR, legal, and operations.

- Lead operations teams to deliver safe, efficient and accurate handling, storage and movement of commodities aligned to Access World operational standards.
- Drive execution of warehouse activities to achieve productivity, cost efficiency and service delivery targets across inbound and outbound logistics.
- Position operations as a key component of integrated supply chain solutions through effective resource utilisation and operational control.
- Oversee daily operations including receiving, storage and dispatch to ensure efficient and accurate service delivery.
- Coordinate Team Leaders and operational teams to align activities with business and client requirements.
- Manage inventory processes to ensure accurate stock levels and record integrity.
- Monitor stock movements, investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Plan and schedule operational activities to optimise resources, workflow and productivity.
- Collaborate with supply chain stakeholders to meet client requirements and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Drive adherence to health and safety standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures, company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Track and analyse operational performance metrics to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Drive productivity and cost-efficiency initiatives to improve overall operational performance.

- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field (NQF Level 6).
- Valid driver's license.
Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration (NQF Level 7).
Experience Required- Minimum 5 years' experience in operations management within logistics, freight or supply chain environments.
- At least 3 years' experience supervising teams within warehouse or distribution environments.
- Experience handling commodities such as metals, bulk materials or general cargo.
- Experience in inventory management, stock control and warehouse management systems.
