Job Description

Babylonstoren, located just outside Franschhoek, is looking for an energetic and professional Restaurant Floor Manager to join our team. This fast-paced restaurant caters to both individual guests and group bookings, requiring a dynamic and service-driven leader to ensure smooth daily operations and an exceptional guest experience.

Requirements:
  • A completed National Senior Certificate (Matric / Grade 12).
  • Minimum two years of experience in a floor management or similar leadership role within a restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, with an emphasis on high-volume service.
  • Excellent client service skills and the ability to handle guest feedback professionally.
  • Fluency in Afrikaans and English.
  • Ability to work hospitality hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Own transport is preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily floor operations, ensuring excellent service and guest satisfaction.
  • Lead and coordinate front of house (FOH) staff, managing scheduling and training.
  • Ensure seamless communication between FOH and BOH (kitchen and bar teams).
  • Maintain restaurant ambience and cleanliness, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Assist with group bookings and events, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Handle guest inquiries and special requests and resolve complaints professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and hospitality standards.
