Job Description

We are looking for registered nurses as our services continue to grow. If you have experience in either general surgical nursing, orthopaedic nursing, neurosurgical nursing, or cardiothoracic nursing we want to hear from you. We have permanent hours 0.5-1.0 FTE available across a mix of specialties.

When you join our team, you will be professionally accountable for the exceptional quality nursing management of patients and ensuring the environment is safe and conducive to the wellbeing of patients, their whānau, staff and visitors.

Your passion for excellent patient care and clinical expertise will make you stand out, but we know you will also bring more than this to your nursing. You will also:

  • Have excellent supportive, engaging and positive team skills
  • Demonstration of a commitment to professional practice, and professional and personal development
  • Current Registration
  • Experience within a ward environment (in particular either general, neurosurgical, orthopaedic, or cardiothoracic specialties)
  • Be an excellent communicator, facilitator and advocate for patients
  • Be able to work with all our hospital teams in all aspects of our service
  • Actively seek opportunities for relationship, practice and service development
  • Have the initiative and ability to contribute to and support best practice standards.
