Registered Nurse Midwife Qualified

A vacancy exists for a Registered Nurse Midwife Qualified at Life The Glynnwood Hospital, reporting to Ronel Rossouw, Unit Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing holistic maternity care to mothers and newborns and will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in line with Company & Hospital strategic objectives.

• Ensure quality patient care and customer satisfaction according to Life Healthcare Policies & Procedures.
• Management of nursing staff categories according to their Scope of Practice.
• Maintain sound professional relationships with all patients, doctors and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
• Effective risk management of the unit by complying with Health, Safety & Infection Control policies and procedures.
• Effectively participate in the management of costs in the unit (stock, staffing, and equipment)
• Identify training needs and initiate facilitation.
• Ensure effective record keeping

• Registered at SANC as a Registered Nurse with Midwifery
• Must have been a shift leader for at least 2 years
• Competencies required: team player, very energetic, well organized and punctual.
• Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
• Good interpersonal skills required. Respect patient and staff confidentiality.
• Driver's license
• Understanding the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage
