Job Summary To drive sustainable growth in fleet management and vehicle leasing market share for Absa Vehicle Management Solutions (AVMS) in the Gauteng region by originating, developing, and closing new business opportunities, while leading and managing a team of Business Development Fleet Consultants to deliver against regional growth targets. The role is responsible for executing AVMS's sales strategy across the full sales lifecycle-from prospecting and solution design through to contract commercialization-ensuring consistent performance, capability development, and effective pipeline management across the team, while building long term, profitable customer relationships and positioning AVMS as a leading fleet and leasing partner. Job Description Drive sustainable growth in fleet management and vehicle leasing market share across Gauteng. Originate and convert new business opportunities across Corporate, SME, and Public Sector segments. Execute regional sales plans aligned to AVMS and Absa Business Banking growth strategies. Manage the full sales process from prospecting through to contract commercialization. Structure and negotiate complex fleet and leasing solutions that meet customer needs, pricing, and risk requirements. Ensure all transactions are commercially viable, compliant, and approved in line with governance frameworks. Lead, manage, and coach a team of Business Development Fleet Consultants to achieve regional sales targets. Set clear performance objectives, manage delivery against agreed targets. Build capability within the team through coaching, deal support, and knowledge transfer. Build and maintain senior level relationships with key customers and decision maker. Position AVMS as a trusted fleet and leasing partner through insight led engagement. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and teams to deliver solutions. Build, manage, and maintain a robust and accurate regional sales pipeline. Track performance against targets, forecasts, and key sales KPIs at individual and team level. Provide timely, accurate reporting and insights to support management decision making. Ensure adherence to Absa policies, credit standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain disciplined across pricing, legal, and operational approval processes. Education and Experience Required • Bachelor's Degree: Business, Commerce and Management StudiesPreferred Experience• Seven (7) years or more experience in a fleet management environment, of which (5) five years or more must be in a management role.• Experience in managing of fleet management and leasing products• Strong business development and relationship building Education Bachelors Degree and Professional Qualifications: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required) Absa Bank Limited is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer.
