THE ROLE The Regional Commercial Director is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the Regional Managing Director. The role focuses on driving commercial performance across the region.As a leader and trusted adviser to the business, you will provide senior sponsorship for strategic deals and lead initiatives that impact key top line metrics, including recurring revenue (ARR), cash collection/DSOs, and gross margin.This is a high-visibility role that has tangible impact on regional performance and success - it is both a strategic and hands-on role, requiring strong leadership, collaboration, and commercial acumen.Success in the role will depend heavily on strong drive and high energy with an ability to lead by example. Equally the ability to work well as part of a team is essential, with strong cross-functional collaboration, working with Sales, Marketing, Delivery, Support and Partners. Key highlights Senior leadership role shaping commercial strategy and execution across the region Direct impact on recurring revenue, pipeline quality, and SaaS deal acceleration Instrumental in identifying and spearheading new initiatives Empowered to represent the Regional Managing Director internally and externally Unique opportunity for a driven, self-starter with strong energy and a passion for leading, energising and collaborating across commercial teams OPPORTUNITIES Strategic Leadership & Representation You will partner with the Regional Managing Director to drive performance across ARR, cash collection, and gross margin You will represent the Regional Managing Director in internal meetings and external engagements with clients, prospects, and partnersRevenue & Pipeline Growth You will spearhead initiatives to grow recurring revenues, including maintenance and SaaS streams You will lead the development of a strong sales pipeline, focusing on high-impact opportunities and whitespace growth You will coordinate with finance and operations to optimize cash collection processes and margin performanceSales Acceleration & Support You will bring senior sponsorship and commercial expertise to key SaaS and maintenance deals to accelerate closure. You will guide sales teams on deal strategy, risk management, and value-based selling. You will drive adoption of best-practice sales methodologies across the region.Partnerships & Collaboration You will work closely with marketing, delivery, support, and partners to scale regional initiatives. You will launch and manage special projects to unlock new commercial opportunities. SKILLS Proven Leadership You should have 10+ years of senior commercial leadership experience within enterprise software, fintech, or banking technology You should have a strong track record of driving revenue, pipeline growth, and profitability Recurring Revenue Expertise You should have experience growing maintenance and SaaS revenue streams, with a focus on optimizing cash collection and margin performanceCommercial Acumen for SaaS You should have deep understanding of SaaS deal structures, risk governance, and value-based selling to support complex, high-value dealsCross-Functional Influence You should have ability to lead and align diverse teams across sales, marketing, finance, operations, and partners You should be skilled in forging partnerships and scaling initiatives through external alliances Strategic Thinking & Execution You should be adept at identifying whitespace opportunities, shaping go-to-market strategies, and converting insights into actionStakeholder Management You should have excellent communication and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior leadership, clients, and partnersData-Driven Mindset You should be comfortable with pipeline, forecasting, and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Clari, CPQ) and using analytics to inform decisions Energy & Drive You should be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, bringing urgency, focus, and senior sponsorship to key initiatives SOME OF OUR BENEFITS include: Maternity leave : Transition back with 3 days per week in the first month and 4 days per week in the second month Civil Partnership : 1 week of paid leave if you're getting married.
