Introduction

An exciting career opportunity exists at Medipost for a Recruitment Manager reporting to the Group HR Manager. This position is based in Gezina, Pretoria .The Recruitment Manager is responsible for developing and implementing effective recruitment practices, policies, and procedures to support the business objectives and talent management strategies.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:-

Leadership and Business partnership:

  • Give input on the HR strategy and facilitate execution in line with the business goals and objectives .
  • Develop recruitment strategies and plans aligned with the overall business objectives
  • Give input on the HR budget and manage the departmental expenses, including business travel arrangements.
  • Provide leadership, proactively build relationships and maintain an active client-facing role to ensure recruitment requirements are met at the Group level.
  • Partner with HR and Marketing teams to ensure talent acquisition strategies and employer branding initiatives are implemented at the Group level.
  • Partner with the HR and Payroll Manager's on salary benchmarking and job grading projects/special requests.
  • Review external recruitment-related contracts to ensure SLA compliance.
  • Work with MTA to develop content and training material for recruitment and selection training.
  • Ensure all the participants in recruitment and selection are trained - HR/recruitment team and managers.
  • Oversee scheduling of new employees for induction and follow up on the processing of new hire paperwork.
  • Represent HR in group induction presentations for new employees.
  • Act as an HR advocate and an influencer in management meetings and any other relevant forums.
  • Provide input and participate in change management and special projects as needed.
  • Manage own team resource planning, ensure alignment of optimal performance and propose structural changes where applicable
  • Compile/review team job descriptions
  • Ensure effective induction, onboarding, and probation assessment of new employees.
  • Actively manage team performance (high performers and poor performers) and conduct performance reviews in line with the company policies.
  • Conduct a departmental training needs analysis and propose interventions to align with the Work Skills Plan
  • Monitor staff attendance, leave management, and timekeeping.
  • Foster a working environment that promotes ethical standards, equality, fairness, and respect.
  • Manage employee relations and apply consequence management to ensure productivity and to maintain healthy working relationships.
  • Ensure subordinates adherence to company policies and procedures.
Recruitment and Selection
  • Enhance and/ or develop, implement, and enforce recruitment policies and procedures of the organisation by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organisation.
  • Enhance and/ or develop, implement, and enforce recruitment standard operating procedures (SOPs) and partner with MTA to ensure that the managers, recruitment, and HR teams are adequately trained.
  • Provide guidance and support to the managers to ensure adherence to recruitment processes and practices.
  • Effectively manage the recruitment processes value chain to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Act as a recruitment specialist and effectively manage the recruitment of critical and managerial positions.
  • Oversee the referral of applicants within the business, scheduling of interviews, and reference/verification checks.
  • Network, headhunt, and research new ways of attracting candidates for critical positions.
  • Effectively manage the recruitment systems and engage service providers to resolve issues (PNET, MIE, etc).
  • Oversee reviews of job requisitions (RTA) information and other related documents for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate approvals.
  • Ensure high quality work standards and adherence to recruitment and payroll submission deadlines.
Employment Equity
  • Proactively partner with the HR team and managers to facilitate alignment of recruitment to employment equity targets.
  • Monitor the BBE model and facilitate discussions with managers to ensure compliance.
  • Promote diversity awareness programmes and a culture of inclusiveness.
  • Attend the employment equity meetings and present recruitment trends as required.
Admin and reporting
  • Effectively manage the HR and/ or recruitment admin processes to ensure compliance with the policies and SOPs.
  • Oversee documentation signoffs across the business and co-ordinate activities to ensure adherence to payroll deadlines.
  • Compile and submit monthly/quarterly/annual reports, analyse trends and propose solutions with managers in consultation with the Group HR Manager.
  • Continuously improve efficiencies and quality of documentation and oversee data management and online filing systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Diploma/Degree in HR Management or an equivalent qualification.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 5 years' recruitment specialist experience.
  • Extensive experience in the development of recruitment strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Proven record of experience in headhunting and creative social media sourcing methods.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislation; EEA, SDA, BCEA, etc.
  • Must be highly organised with strong administration skills and experience in managing a high workload.
  • Sound computer literacy
