What you will be doing:
  • Execute monthly / quarterly on-site and off-site stock takes, including variance reconciliation and final reporting, and conduct continuous cycle counts.
  • Manage the end-to-end supply of yarn and raw materials, including planning and maintaining optimal stock levels.
  • Oversee the optimal operation and maintenance of the Humidity Room and all internal equipment (e.g., forklift, winding machines).
  • Coordinate all logistics / delivery schedules and drive efficiency initiatives to reduce yarn waste.
  • Partner with Buyers to develop local and import purchasing plans, handle supplier call-offs, and maintain the Syspro Purchase Order Book.
  • Manage the creation and reconciliation of all internal and external production jobs (twisting / dyeing).
  • Directly supervise staff across Yarn Store, Packaging Store, Winding Department, and related admin, ensuring adherence to safety (HSE/Fire), financial procedures, and the Code of Conduct.
  • Provide daily KPI reports to HODs / Planning Manager, focusing on Plan vs. Actual performance and daily material shortages / risk lists.
What our client is looking for:
  • A relevant tertiary Diploma / Degree would be beneficial (Supply Chain, Logistics, etc.)
  • 5 - 7 years in raw materials / warehousing, including 3+ years in a supervisory / management role. Experience in manufacturing / textiles is a plus.
  • Proven ability in inventory control, stock takes, warehouse management, and reconciling stock variances.
  • Strong knowledge of stock control systems and experience with ERP systems (e.g., Syspro), including Purchase Order Book and stock reporting.
  • Good understanding of supply chain planning and logistics coordination principles.
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills, coupled with high attention to detail and accuracy in planning / organisation.
  • Strong leadership / team management capabilities and knowledge of HSE and general warehouse safety standards.
  • High integrity, reliability, and accountability, especially with high-value inventory. Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and have a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adhere to company policies, with flexibility to work overtime.
