Investec is looking for a highly skilled QA Engineer to drive quality across multiple applications within the Business & Commercial Banking division. The ideal individual will have strong front end and back end automation skills, experience building automation frameworks, and a deep understanding of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices. You will work closely with engineering squads and business stakeholders to embed a world class automation culture, improve test maturity, and ensure continuous delivery of high quality software. The role requires someone who is proactive, collaborative, technically strong, and passionate about building scalable, reusable automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute detailed manual test cases and test scenarios covering end-to-end trade lifecycle.
  • Develop reusable test frameworks and improve automation coverage.
  • Perform SIT, UAT support, regression, and smoke testing.
  • Conduct integration testing across upstream/downstream systems including validation of API message formats.
  • Log, track, and manage defects through to resolution.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and batch processes.
  • Build and maintain regression automation suites.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
  • Relevant degree or diploma in Information Technology or related field preferred.
  • 4+ years' experience in testing (manual + automation implementation).
  • Strong experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Hands on experience with test automation and CI/CD tooling such as Selenium and Cucumber required.
  • Solid understanding of front end and back end testing concepts.
  • Ability to write and execute SQL queries for test data setup and validation.
