Job Description

Project Management
  • Manage the execution of one or more projects, and is responsible for the outcome (On time, on budget, on quality) of the project(s) or product(s) supervised.
  • Manage the project budget (if project in managed service) and be responsible for team performance.
  • Responsible for measuring the team performance using appropriate tools and propose actions to remediate any deviation. Escalate to SM if necessary.
  • Risk management on the project and implement mitigation plan.
  • Proactiveness in escalating issues to management as needed.
  • Report frequently and accurately on project progress.
  • Anticipate/Identify resources needs.
  • Provide necessary coaching and mentoring for the team.
  • Animate the team through regular communication and incentives.
  • Produce Quality Reports on a monthly basis
  • Acts towards resolution of project performance issues (if and when they happen)
  • Acquire Business knowledge
People Management
  • Responsible of 1 or more associate project managers and team
  • Self-motivate and motivate team to deliver performance
  • Conflict resolution within/between the delivery team and stakeholders (in MU and CH)
  • Identify training needs of team and share on any coaching need(s) to SM
  • Be responsible for competency development
  • Frequent 1:1 meeting with the team members
  • Weekly meetings with team to share actions and project updates
  • Weekly meetings with associate project manager for project updates, risks and issues on project and action plans
  • Responsible for the escalation of issues to SM (along with details of actions initiated, or decisions taken)
  • Conflict resolution within/between the delivery team and stakeholders
  • Monitor attrition, propose measures to minimise it to SM and act on the measures. Be responsible for attrition KPI(s).
  • Set objectives and monitor individual performance (of team members)
  • Share people issues with reporting line
Business Development
  • Optimize project staffing with available resources
  • Propose opportunities to increase team staffing
  • Support CH/MU team on pre-sales and sales offers, by sharing own expertise when required.
  • Be aware of client satisfaction levels, seek client feedback and propose improvement actions
The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager should have:

  • Excellent communication skills in French & English
  • Strong understanding of how information systems are built with more than 10 years in the IT field.
  • Good knowledge of how an Agile team works and a good understanding of the different Agile ceremonies.
  • Good knowledge of ticket tracking system (like JIRA).
  • Strong logical, good analytical thinking and ability to figure out the root cause of issues.
  • Be able to manage stakeholders' relationships and negotiate changes to commitments or requirements.
  • Experience in development technologies like Java will be a plus.
  • Good leadership and people management skills will be a plus.
