What you will be doing:

Fixed Asset Management

  • Ensure IFRS-aligned fixed asset governance
  • Document asset classification, componentisation and useful life rationale
  • Review and release fixed asset requisitions
  • Manage assets under construction and capitalisation processes
  • Maintain wear-and-tear registers and support SARS submissions
  • Ensure insurance coverage and consult on technical accounting matters
  • Review fixed asset receipts and deliver monthly reporting
  • Conduct useful life and impairment assessments
  • Review and approve asset transfer/scrap requests

General Ledger Maintenance

  • Set up project cost/profit centres and oversee cost allocations
  • Analyse operating costs for potential capitalisation
  • Translate project lifecycle into annual budgets ()
  • Liaise with project managers to integrate financial impacts
  • Mentor analysts on fixed assets, GL and cash flow
  • Execute month-end and year-end close activities

Cash & Treasury Management

  • Maintain 3-month cash forecasts and liaise with Treasury on liquidity
  • Prepare 12-month cash flow forecasts
  • Oversee SARB approvals
  • Track project payments and ensure audit-ready documentation
  • Prepare funding disbursement requests
  • Manage cash usage, exchange risks and funder balances
  • Support funding due diligence and covenant reporting

Additional Responsibilities

  • Prepare schedules and reports for funders
  • Support audits (internal, external, project-related)
  • Participate in SAP improvement projects
  • Provide financial support to project teams
