Job Description

An established international energy company is seeking a Project Developer to join its growing team focused on Sub Saharan Africa. This role will support the identification, development, and execution of energy infrastructure opportunities across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyse regulatory frameworks and market developments within target countries
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to support strategic decision making
  • Assess financing solutions and their impact on different energy business models
  • Support partner identification and engagement strategies aligned with project needs

Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including:

  • Greenfield developments
  • M&A and acquisitions
  • Competitive tenders (public and private)
  • Bilateral agreements with large energy off takers
  • Assist in preparing investment approval materials and supporting internal/external approvals
  • Support project development activities, including permitting and stakeholder engagement
  • Collaborate cross functionally with internal teams and external partners
  • Contribute to maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and regulatory bodies
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in: Business development, Investment analysis
  • Experience working on large-scale renewable energy projects
