Klipboard is a market leader in delivering cloud-based ERP and commerce solutions to Distribution, Automotive, Wholesale, Merchant, and Retail sectors. The Professional Services Director Africa is a key senior leader responsible for operational excellence, customer success, and revenue delivery. This role serves as the figurehead for all Africa Professional Services employees, championing a culture of efficiency, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Success in this role is defined by delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality-ensuring customers are referenceable, satisfied, and positioned to maximise value from Klipboard solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic direction, operational execution, and continuous improvement of the Africa Professional Services organisation.
  • Drive down the time, effort, and cost-to-serve associated with delivering implementations and service engagements.
  • Leverage automation, AI, and repeatable delivery frameworks to make Professional Services more operationally efficient.
  • Maintain strong governance of project delivery quality, customer success, and operational performance.
  • Ensure high billability and strong utilisation across the Professional Services team while balancing workload, wellbeing, and delivery quality.
  • Drive resource planning, forecasting, and allocation to ensure the right capability is available at the right time.
  • Strengthen collaboration with Sales, providing accurate scoping, estimation, and solution assurance during the sales cycle.
  • Oversee management of the order book, ensuring clear visibility and control of time-to-cash performance.
  • Own and manage revenue forecasting for Professional Services, covering both non recurring and recurring revenue streams.
  • Foster career development, capability growth, and transparent progression pathways for all Professional Services personnel.
  • Collaborate with the global Professional Services organisation to implement best practices, standardise delivery methodologies, and support global transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction is measured, tracked, and continuously improved, with action plans in place for identified issues.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Extensive experience leading Professional Services functions within a SaaS or ERP environment.
  • Proven track record of improving delivery efficiency, reducing project time to value, and implementing scalable delivery frameworks.
  • Strong experience with P&L ownership, revenue forecasting, and commercial accountability.
  • Deep understanding of project delivery methodologies and enterprise software implementation best practices.
  • Demonstrated success in managing high performing, geographically dispersed consulting teams.
  • Experience leveraging PSA tools and data to drive operational performance.
  • Strong collaborator with Sales leadership, contributing to pre sales activities, bid responses, and estimation.
  • Excellent communication, executive stakeholder engagement, and conflict management skills.
  • Experience with ERP implementation delivery.
  • Background in software or technology driven organisations.
  • Experience operating within a global matrix structure.
  • Knowledge of AI driven service delivery models or automation tools.
