Production Director - North West - £75k pa
Job Description
Our Client is a long established and well respected printer based in the North West who offer full in-house studio, print and finishing facilities.
Through expansion and subsequent re-structuring our Client wishes to appoint an experienced Print Operations / Production Director.
The successful Candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operational requirements.

Ideal Candidate ProfileFirst Class Communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
Objectives of roleThe aim of the role will be to:
- Improve all-round professional standards and team performance.
- Develop individuals within teams.
- Lead and promote innovative change and modern methodologies within the manufacturing area.
- Continue to enhance quality and delivery performance to stringent customer requirements and lead times.
- Identify, promote and deliver cost reductions.
- Promote health and safety throughout the workspace.
Substantial and successful experience in managing people and processes to high quality standards in time constrained activities whilst also reducing costs.
A hands on approach to delivery of objectives.
Demonstrable success in creating and implementing change programmes with "hard" positive impacts on customer service, quality and cost.
Proven organisational and project management skills.
You will be responsible for:- People management including appraisals, training and development.
- Scheduling work and developing KPI's to monitor performance.
- Setting and ensuring quality standards are adhered to.
- Generating a continuous improvement culture and implementing lean manufacturing principals.
- Working closely with the senior management team in setting and achieving budgets and targets.
- Excellent people management experience.
- Previous experience of senior level operational management.
- Demonstrable experience of driving continuous improvement through lean manufacturing priciples.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Outstanding organisational capabilities.
