Procurement Buyer: RFQs, Cost Control & Supplier Management
Job Description
A well-established organisation in a technical project and operational support environment is seeking a Procurement Buyer to manage supplier sourcing, purchasing coordination, RFQ administration, and procurement cost control.
The role is responsible for securing competitive pricing, managing supplier relationships, processing purchase orders, coordinating imports, and ensuring procurement activities align with operational and site requirements.
You will support supplier compliance, monitor import costs, maintain procurement records, and ensure efficient workflow prioritisation within a deadline-driven environment.
You will combine procurement accuracy, supplier management, and operational responsiveness in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Requirements- Matric and a relevant diploma
- 2-3 years' relevant procurement or buying experience
- Exposure to construction, technical, engineering, or project-based environments
- Experience managing RFQs, purchase orders, supplier negotiations, and procurement administration
- Exposure to imports, supplier compliance, and cost monitoring is advantageous
- Strong negotiation and supplier coordination ability
- Technical, analytical, and detail-oriented
- Excellent administration and communication skills
- Able to work independently under pressure
- Deadline-driven with strong prioritisation capability
- Professional, proactive, and team-oriented
