Core Purpose of the Role

The Process Mapper ensures that all organisational processes are visible, accurate, effective, and aligned to business strategy. Working within the EOS framework and supporting Continuous Improvement (CI), the role connects processes to KPIs, applies ECRS and Theory of Constraints principles to optimise workflows, and manages the company's process taxonomy.

This role turns process improvements into measurable business value through reporting and ROI insights. It also includes training teams on processes and CI principles, while continuing to build personal expertise in process design, change management, and emerging technologies.

Ascustodian of process integrity, the Process Mapper helps translate business goals into mapped, measurable, and continuously improved processes, enabling teams to operate with clarity, consistency, and confidence.

Position of the job in the organisation

The Process Mapper will report directly to the Business Support Manager.

Principal responsibilities Process Management & Governance
  • Oversee and maintain the organisation's full process taxonomy and repository, ensuring all processes remain current, accurate, and aligned to business strategy and KPIs.
  • Partner with Process Owners to assign ownership, link KPIs to processes, and drive accountability across teams.
  • Apply ECRS and Theory of Constraints principles to identify inefficiencies, optimise processes, and manage the process change pipeline, including communication and governance.
  • Track and report on the ROI and impact of process improvements, while maintaining the Process Charter and overall process governance cadence.
Process Mapping & Design
  • Lead end-to-end process mapping using the VizPro methodology, ensuring all processes reflect accurate workflow, clear decision points, and defined accountabilities.
  • Support and guide departmental process mappers while partnering with business units to design new processes aligned to the strategic roadmap.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks and optimisation opportunities through ECRS and Theory of Constraints analysis.
Strategic Alignment & Reporting
  • Drive quarterly process improvement priorities, provide strategic insight to COO and MANCO, and report on process health, maturity, and ROI.
  • Support business planning by highlighting constraints and ensuring process performance aligns with organisational goals.
Change Management & Continuous Improvement
  • Apply ToCand ECRS principles to remove bottlenecks, simplify workflows, and drive continuous improvement across the business.
  • Partner with CI, Change Management, and People Operations to ensure smooth integration of process changes and targeted training where needed.
  • Act as a process champion, building understanding, adoption, and ownership of processes across all teams.
  • Facilitate process and systems training to support consistent application of new and updated ways of working.
Experience & Skills
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in process design, process management, or continuous improvement.
  • Exposure to EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) and/or similar operational frameworks preferred.
  • Proven experience applying ECRS and Theory of Constraints (ToC) in process optimisation.
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement (CI) and Change Management principles.
  • Strong understanding of Change Management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in facilitating process-related workshops or delivering staff training sessions.
  • Proven ability to facilitate process mapping sessions and develop end-to-end process documentation.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 and proficiency; experience with process mapping software (e.g., Microsoft Visio + VizPro, Lucidchart, etc.) advantageous.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to enhance process analysis, optimisation, and reporting.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Industrial Engineering, Operations, or Process Management preferred but not mandatory if experience is equivalent.

What Does Success Look Like? By Month 3
  • Will have thoroughly documented the highest-priority cross-functional processes, mapped in an approved standard format and stored with proper version control.
  • Will have completed a gap analysis highlighting pain points, bottlenecks, and risks across the documented processes.
  • Will have built trust with key stakeholders by running process walkthroughs and validating accuracy.
  • Will understand how the Operations ecosystem works, including upstream and downstream dependencies.
  • Will have proposed a clear process documentation and review cadence for each department.
By Month 6
  • Will be leading structured process review cycles with multiple departments, using data and stakeholder feedback to drive measurable improvements.
  • Will have implemented at least 2-3 process optimisations that result in reduced turnaround times, fewer errors, or improved team handover efficiency.
  • Will be maintaining and enforcing version control, ensuring consistency and preventing outdated or duplicate documentation.
  • Will be training teams on updated or newly created processes, with positive adoption feedback.
  • Will be supporting workflows tied to automation or system improvements (e.g., CRM, project management tools).
By Month 12
  • Can independently drive organisation-wide continuous improvement initiatives with minimal supervision.
  • Can confidently identify future optimisation opportunities and build the business case for improvements.
  • Will have established a mature process governance framework, including review schedules, ownership, and compliance measures.
  • Will have contributed to measurable operational improvements-such as reduced rework, improved cycle times, stronger interdepartmental alignment, and elevated process discipline.
  • Will be recognised as the internal subject-matter expert for process mapping, documentation standards, and workflow optimisation.
