With an in house engineering team of chemical, metallurgical and mechanical engineers, we provide process engineering design, R&D and support services for potable and effluent treatment, solid liquid separation, chemical dosing, remote monitoring, control and mineral process optimisation plants. We focus on the operation and maintenance of water treatment plants, equipment and water related infrastructure, deploying trained operating and maintenance personnel to client facilities. We're looking for a Process Engineer to lead plant improvements, ensuring seamless operations while maintaining low costs and high standards.
What You'll Do- Drive plant productivity improvements, cost reduction and enhanced safety without compromising quality.
- Oversee health, safety, environmental and quality (SHEQ) standards to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Serve as the key point of contact for clients, managing relationships, resolving issues and delivering excellence.
- Design, test and upgrade systems to improve production rates and output quality.
- Use advanced techniques to solve complex problems and streamline processes.
- Assess processes, interpret data and generate solutions to optimise workflow.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure all documentation, including safe operating procedures, is in place.
- Provide monthly reports on plant performance, compliance and costs.
- Participate in weekly maintenance planning and execution to ensure optimal plant operation.
- Lead initiatives to automate processes and improve plant recovery rates.
- Support the team by stepping into supervisor and operator roles as needed.
- Be available for telephonic or in person support whenever required by the site team.
- Take on additional responsibilities as directed by line management.
- B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- 1 2 years of proven experience in process engineering, with strong technical skills and familiarity with process simulations.
- A deep understanding of SHEQ and health & safety regulations.
- Experience in water treatment is essential.
- A self motivated problem solver with strong attention to detail and the ability to think outside the box.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and collaborate with teams.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to identify, assess and solve problems.
