Bridge Draughtsperson

We are experienced and detail-oriented Bridge Draughtspersons to join our Cape Town office. The successful candidates will support the bridges and transportation infrastructure team through the preparation and coordination of high-quality engineering drawings and models for a variety of bridge and civil infrastructure projects.

The role requires individuals with strong technical drafting capabilities, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams. Candidates with experience in digital drafting and BIM environments will be highly advantageous.

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, sections, and reinforcement detailing for bridge and infrastructure projects
• Produce accurate and high-quality construction documentation in accordance with project requirements and standards
• Assist engineers and project teams with technical drawing support and coordination
• Maintain drawing registers and ensure proper document control procedures are followed

• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate project information and drawing integration
• Incorporate design changes and revisions into drawings efficiently and accurately
• Support project delivery by ensuring drawing deadlines and quality standards are achieved
• Participate in design coordination meetings where required

• Contribute to BIM and digital modelling workflows where applicable
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to drafting standards and efficiencies
• Assist with maintaining and improving drawing templates and drafting procedures

• Matric
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant draughting experience within civil, structural, or bridge engineering projects
• Proven experience producing engineering drawings and documentation for infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• REVIT Experience will be advantages
• Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards and detailing practices
• Ability to interpret engineering sketches, calculations, and design information accurately
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
