This person will report to the Operations Supervisor, and responsible for the overall day to day Supervision of employee's performance, co-ordination, management and maintenance of the various job functions in your area of responsibility. Thus ensuring that quality and SHER requirements are met at all times. Upholding all aspects of compliance and standards.

• Basic content knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act - in terms of management of risk on site.

• Supervisor qualification to your advantage, the level of supervision depends on the state of knowledge, experience and training of employees as well as the nature and associated hazard of the task / job being performed.
• Physically fit and healthy - This person must be in an extreme good state of health - able to climb onto equipment, walk long distance on site if needed for inspection purposes. Pass Annual Medical Examination.
• Enjoy practical and manual work - have the basic practical / technical knowledge to oversee subordinates responsible for the function.
• Pressure - Must be able to work under extreme pressure to meet production targets and able to positively motivate the team.
• Willing to work in harsh conditions - the work conditions of plant operator can be hot, muddy, dusty and noisy.
• Work overtime - willing to work overtime and or shifts.
• Communication skills - with co-workers essential for job functions
• Conflict Management skills - managing employee conflict which may arise in a professional fair manner.
• Safe Operating Practice - knowledge of safe operating practice in the workplace and other operating sites and to adhere to the implemented code of practice.
• Teamwork - be acceptable, cooperative, understanding and respecting of the existing staff and be able to take orders from the Operations Manager.
