The South Africa Manganese operation can be found in the manganese rich Kalahari Basin, in the country's Northern Cape, which is home to 80 per cent of the world's manganese. This position is based at our open cut Mamatwan mine which started operating more than half a century ago.

Eligible employees will receive an employer contribution towards the company elected retirement fund.

South 32 will support assistance for part time studies aligned to role requirements and business needs at accredited institutions to eligible employees.

This role is a permanent full time position.

As a Planner Maintenance, you will be responsible to provide specialist advice and execute planning, development and communication of Work Management weekly work schedules for an operations.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

• Creates and plans Work Orders as per defined scope that enables effective deployment of resources;
• Complies with the Work Management processes to schedule work based on the prioritization of the task;
• Collaborates with Supply to determine the availability of required Materials and Services;
• Builds and communicate accurate weekly and monthly work schedules reflecting all Work management activities;
• Review Process Discipline for the Week as per the Work Performance Management Process;
• Analyse Weekly and Monthly Metrics as per the Work Performance Management Process;
• Initiate WM Master Data based on equipment strategy reviews, failure analysis and identified quality errors.

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in Maintenance in either processing plants or maintenance of TMMs;
• Sound knowledge of Fundamentals of Maintenance and Planning Principles;
• Previous Maintenance Planning experience & SAP knowledge is advantageous;
