Job DescriptionEdge Growth Ventures is looking for a high-performing Post-Investment Management Senior Associate to take ownership of a portfolio of early-stage, high-growth impact investments.
This role is not passive portfolio oversight, it is hands off value creation. You will work directly with founders and leadership teams to unlock growth, drive performance and shape strategy across a diverse portfolio of SMEs.
You'll operate with a high level of autonomy, owning investments from post deal handover through to exit, while influencing investment decisions and portfolio strategy.
- Take full ownership of allocated portfolio companies from handover to exit
- Partner with founders to drive:
- Financial performance and modelling
- Strategy development and execution
- Business scaling and operational improvements
- Support capital raising initiatives and market expansion
- Lead restructures, turnarounds, and value unlock initiatives
- Lead preparation and review of follow on funding proposals
- Present to Investment Committee with clear recommendations
- Assess deal rationale, structure, and strategic fit
- Ensure strong governance practices across portfolio companies
- Monitor compliance and performance across investments
- Identify risks and recommend corrective actions
- Deliver high quality portfolio reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Build strong relationships with founders, investors, and partners
- Manage legal and compliance issues within portfolio companies
- Work with legal advisors on amendments and enforcement actions
- Contribute to improving portfolio management processes and systems
- Maintain high quality data, reporting, and internal knowledge systems
3-5 years' experience in impact investing, venture capital, or private equity (post investment preferred)
QualificationPreferred: CA(SA), CFA, or CIMA (FCMA) or Actuarial Science, Statistics or equivalent
- Advanced financial modelling and analysis
- Strong commercial thinking and problem solving
- Ability to operate independently and take ownership
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and fast paced environments
- Strong governance, risk, and compliance mindset
