Pharmaceutical Procurement Manager - Jhb

An exciting opportunity exists for a Procurement Manager with International procurement experience in Medical Devices and Raw Materials for a production environment to lead sourcing and supplier management within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials, packaging, and services.
• Source, evaluate, negotiate, and manage local and international suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO 13485, SAHPRA, and regulatory procurement standards.
• Manage supplier approval processes, audits, and performance monitoring.
• Oversee import/export activities, customs clearance, and shipping documentation.
• Support demand planning, inventory control, and new product development initiatives.
• Lead and develop the procurement team to achieve operational excellence.
• Drive cost optimisation, contract management, and ERP-based procurement processes.

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Procurement.
• Additional Qualification in CIPS, Shipping Management or import & export management
• Minimum 5 years' procurement/supply chain experience in pharmaceutical, FMCG, or medical manufacturing.
• Experience with Medical Devices /ISO 13485 procurement
• Proven track record in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost optimisation.
• Strong ERP proficiency (SAP, Oracle, Syspro or similar).
• Excellent planning, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Leadership experience with a strong compliance mindset.
