Main job function

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and warm Personal Assistant to support our clients growing online business, assist with errands, and occasional school pickups for our clients' kids. We require a responsible individual who is comfortable balancing administrative duties with childcare support in a family-oriented environment (Our client works from home). The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, flexible, detail-oriented, trustworthy, comfortable wearing multiple hats in a family environment, naturally anticipates needs, helping life run smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications Key Responsibilities E-Commerce Administration
  • Capturing, updating, and maintaining product listings on the online store and online platforms
  • Processing online orders and assisting with customer enquiries
  • Performing basic stock control and general administrative tasks
  • Supporting promotions, emails, and website updates where required
  • Ensuring accurate records and smooth day-to-day operations
Childcare Support
  • School drop-offs and collections (where applicable)
  • Assisting with homework and after-school activities
  • Maintain children's schedules and communicate updates to parents
  • Plan and engage children in activities (play, homework support, outings, creative play)
  • Preparing light meals and snacks for the children
  • Providing attentive, safe, and supportive care
  • Helping maintain daily routines within the household
  • Support children's emotional well-being with patience and consistency
Personal & Household Assistant Duties
  • Manage calendars, appointments, and family schedules
  • Coordinate errands, shopping, and household logistics
  • Liaise with service providers (cleaners, maintenance, tutors, etc.)
  • Help plan family events, travel, or special occasions
Administrative & Organizational Support
  • Track to-do lists, follow-ups, and recurring tasks
  • Handle basic correspondence, reminders, and scheduling coordination
  • Keep important information and records organized
  • Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements to routines or systems
Criteria Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Genuine enjoyment of working with children
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • High level of trustworthiness, discretion, and reliability
  • Clear, respectful communication with both children and adults
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
  • Basic tech skills (email, calendars, messaging apps)

Preferred Requirements
  • Previous experience in administration, e-commerce, or childcare
  • Valid South African driver's license (essential)
  • Own transport (preferred)
  • Candidate will be provided with a laptop
