Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Accurate posting of all cashbook entries payments and receipts
  • Loading payments on bank profile
  • Calculating and processing discounts
  • Daily and monthly reconciliation of bank accounts to the cashbook.
Debtors Management
  • Reconciling debtors accounts and processing payments
  • Liaising with the sales team
Project Accounts
  • Following up on outstanding, overdue or long outstanding debt
  • Generating invoices, credit notes and customer statements
  • Handling queries and maintaining databases
  • Processing credit applications and communication with credit insurers.
Reporting
  • Preparing debtor aging reports and supporting month-end closures

Requirements
  • Education: Matric with Accounting/Mathematics; Diploma or certificate in Finance/Accounting is advantageous.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in debtors or cashbook roles.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (essential) and accounting software (Sage, Pastel is advantageous).
  • Competencies: Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
