Job Description

Global Shared Services (GSS) is a critical asset for Anglo American and De Beers enabling the delivery of functional service work for Finance & People Services to all Business Unit and Group Functions.

KEY TASKS

Location: Rosebank, Johannesburg with 10% local and international travel.

Operational Delivery
  • Accountable for coordinating and controlling the timely & accurate processing of all input documentation according to SLA measures.
  • Accountable for coordinating and controlling all the weekly and monthly checklists.
  • Ensure the adherence to Process and Service Standards for the effective governance within area of responsibility.
  • Interpret, communicate, coach & monitor relevant policies and procedures to staff.
  • Communicate the Service Delivery strategy and operating model to the team.
  • Identify risks and implement actions to mitigate/eliminate all risks.
  • The effective resolution and coordination of issues and incidents with action plans and quality controls in place.
  • Ensure that all SLA targets and measures are met.
  • Comply with all Governance requirements.
  • Investigate and close any escalated issues stemming from subordinates and escalate any issues that can't be resolved to the appropriate position.
  • Monitor teams' performance and ensure performance reviews are completed.
  • Ensure Monthly, Bi-Annual & Annual tax submissions are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Ensure all internal and external audits are clear with no moderate and major findings.
  • Ensure all Incidents are logged and reported.
  • Ensure RACM's and Annual attestation is reviewed and performed.
  • Ensure monthly stats for reporting are accurate and completed on time.
People Interaction
  • Actively collaborate within own team and in the wider Global Shared Services (People Services) to build capacity and relations.
Project Management
  • Plan and attend all meetings.
  • Create and lead a team.
  • Monitor project progress and adhere to set deadlines.
  • Overcome obstacles that arise.
  • Communicate project changes.
  • Evaluate project performance.
  • Encourage collaboration to generate innovative ideas that are sustainable & cost effective in the Service Delivery function.
  • Attending process and service design reviews in order to generate ideas to drive efficient processing and a quality service.
Customer Relationship building
  • Build customer relations through effective communication and efficient issue resolution.
  • Minimal escalations to individual's manager when issues have not been adequately addressed.
  • Contribute toward building strong Business relationships and adding value through optimal customer service.
Qualifications
  • A relevant Payroll qualification (will be advantageous).
  • Recognition of Prior Learning will be acknowledged.
EXPERIENCE
  • 5-7 years payroll and/or HR experience with at least 4 years at a supervisory level.
  • At least 5 years SAP HR proficiency.
  • Customer service delivery (would be advantageous).
  • Knowledge of SAP systems (SAP ECP, SAP Fusion, SAP HANA).
  • Intermediate Excel with macros.
