Part-time Media Content Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Media Content Assistant to join an award winning specialist film production and animation company. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and professionalism of subtitles across podcasts, blogs, and marketing materials. In addition, the role involves managing the upload and optimization of content on the YouTube platform to maximize audience engagement.

This position will be 20 hours per month, flexible hours, fully remote as an independent contractor.

• Proofread, edit, and correct subtitles for podcasts, blogs, and marketing videos to ensure flawless grammar, spelling, and readability.
• Maintain consistency in tone, style, and formatting across all content.
• Upload and manage video content on YouTube, including metadata optimization (titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails).
• Collaborate with creative and production teams to align subtitles with brand messaging and storytelling.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and best practices for subtitled content.
• Monitor and update published content to reflect ongoing improvements in accuracy and audience engagement.

• Exceptional command of the English language, with advanced proofreading and editing skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and correct linguistic, stylistic, and formatting errors.
• Experience working with subtitles, closed captions, or transcription tools.
• Familiarity with YouTube content management, including SEO optimization for video uploads.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with creative teams.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Background in media, film production, animation, or digital marketing.
• Prior experience with AI assisted editing tools or content management systems.
• Understanding of accessibility standards for digital media.
