Packaging Coordinator

This is a key role within one of our packaging clients. The Packaging Coordinator is expected to be a project leader and be heavily involved in major projects related to printed packaging (e.g. acquisitions, production site transfers, etc.).

The Packaging Coordinator is responsible for the development and control of printed packaging materials (PPM) for new product entities and changes to current PPM. The role also drives improvements in current printed packaging processes and supports manufacturing, requiring a keen understanding of OSSCE (Operational Standards for Supply Chain Excellence) concepts and supply chain management.

Responsibilities
  • Liaison with regulatory, purchasing, suppliers, and manufacturing.
  • Packaging change control management - manages implementation projects for printed packaging from regulatory request through to packaging being available in production.
  • Own, initiate, and manage PPM change controls using an electronic change control tool.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cost, cycle time, and compliance.
  • Participate in the identification and selection of new packaging suppliers.
  • Serve as site owner for all printed packaging components and any related issues.
  • Understand and apply printed packaging requirements and regulations.
  • Understand and assist in the implementation of the Global Quality Standards.
  • Perform investigations for deviations.
  • Lead investigations on packaging complaints.
  • Assist in improving safe working conditions by identifying hazardous processes or conditions.
  • Manage improvement projects for printed packaging.
  • Report metrics with action plans for improvement.
  • Participate in supplier audits.
  • Originate change controls for packaging related projects or activities.
Additional Information

Workers are expected to have experience in the print, packaging, or paper sectors. The position is actively suited for candidates with a strong background in printed packaging and supply chain processes.
