Job Description

This is a key role with one of our packaging clients. The Packaging Coordinator is expected to be a project leader and be heavily involved in major projects related to printed packaging e.g. acquisitions, production site transfers etc.

The Packaging Coordinator is responsible for the development and control of printed packaging materials (PPM) for new product entities and changes to current PPM. The Packaging Coordinator is responsible for improvements in current printed packaging processes as well as support for manufacturing. A keen understanding of OSSCE (Operational Standards for Supply Chain Excellence) concepts and supply chain management is needed.

Responsibilities
  1. Liaison with regulatory, purchasing, suppliers, and manufacturing
  2. Packaging change control management - Manages implementation projects for printed packaging from regulatory request through to packaging being available in production
  3. Own, initiate and manage PPM change controls using an electronic change control tool
  4. Identify opportunities to improve cost, cycle time, and compliance
  5. Participate in the identification and selection of new packaging suppliers
  6. Site owner for all printed packaging components and any related issues
  7. Understand and apply printed packaging requirements and regulations
  8. Understand and assist in the implementation of the Global Quality Standards
  9. Performs investigations for deviations
  10. Lead investigations on packaging complaints
  11. Assist in improvement of safe working conditions by identifying hazardous processes or conditions
  12. Manages improvement projects for printed packaging
  13. Metrics reporting with action plans for improvement
  14. Participate in supplier audits
  15. Originate change controls for packaging related projects or activities
