About the Opportunity

Micromine is seeking an experienced Operations Manager, AMEE (based in Johannesburg), to lead a high performing team of Product Specialists delivering Level 2 support, presales, customer success initiatives and paid services across the region. This is a hands on leadership role that combines operational excellence, commercial acumen and people leadership to ensure outstanding customer outcomes and high quality service delivery. This is your chance to:

  • Lead and develop a high performing team of Product Specialists across AMEE
  • Ensure customers are well supported and successful in their use of Micromine solutions
  • Strengthen solution selling through effective presales and technical leadership
  • Oversee the delivery of projects and services on time, on budget and to agreed specifications
  • Drive operational excellence while balancing commercial performance and customer outcomes
  • Represent Micromine at industry events and key customer engagements
About You

To succeed in this role, you are a confident and commercially astute people leader who thrives in complex, fast paced environments, bringing a strong track record in leading technical teams, delivering enterprise level software solutions and balancing exceptional customer outcomes with sustainable commercial performance. Other requirements are:

  • 10+ years' experience in enterprise systems with 5+ years leading software products or teams, supported by a relevant tertiary qualification and project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or similar); mining industry experience is highly regarded but not essential
  • Strong project delivery capability, including complex, enterprise scale solutions
  • Solid understanding of project financials, resource utilisation and margin management
  • High calibre negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for new technologies and service models
  • Availability to travel
