Our client is seeking a skilled Office Automation Technician to join their technical support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing office automation equipment including multifunction printers (MFPs), copiers, and related document management solutions.
This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, a good understanding of network connectivity, and the ability to provide efficient on-site technical support to clients.
Key Responsibilities Installation & SetupInstall and configure office automation equipment including multifunction printers, copiers, scanners, and related software solutions.
Configure network connectivity including TCP/IP, scan-to-email, scan-to-folder, and print drivers.
Perform device setup and testing to ensure optimal performance before client handover.
Maintenance & RepairsDiagnose and repair faults on office automation equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
Replace faulty parts and components when required.
Technical SupportProvide on-site and remote technical support to clients.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Ensure minimal downtime for client equipment.
Client ServiceDeliver professional and efficient service to maintain strong client relationships.
Provide basic user training where required.
Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to clients.
Administration & ReportingMaintain accurate service reports and job cards.
Update internal systems with service activities and completed tasks.
Report recurring technical issues to management.
1-2 years experience as an Office Automation Technician or similar technical role.
Experience working with multifunction printers, copiers, and document solutions.
Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP configuration, drivers, scanning setups).
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.
Preferred ExperienceExperience with major brands such as Kyocera, Konica Minolta, Canon, Ricoh, Sharp, or HP.
Knowledge of Managed Print Services (MPS) environments.
Exposure to document workflow or print management software.
