Our client is looking for a New Business Acquisition Manager to spearhead the growth of new Commercial and Individual lines accounts. This role requires comprehensive expertise and a commitment to service excellence.
Responsibilities- New Business Acquisition: Achieve new business sales targets in line with sales plans. This includes compiling target lists, developing a new business pipeline, and creating action plans for searching sales leads.
- Strategic Sales: Initiate and coordinate action plans to penetrate new markets and identify opportunities for up/cross-selling to write additional business.
- Client & Insurer Liaison: Build strong relationships through regular contact with all stakeholders (Clients, Insurers, etc.), identifying critical decision-makers.
- Presentation & Networking: Create and conduct proposal presentations to potential clients and engage in regular networking.
- Compliance: Adhere to FAIS requirements and set company procedures.
- Minimum 7+ years' experience in short-term insurance within a commercial/personal lines sales and service capacity in a broking environment.
- Experience writing medium to large commercial/personal lines accounts is required.
- Matric.
- Level 4 FETC Short-term Insurance Qualification.
- Qualified to at least Higher Certificate in Insurance Level.
- Passed FAIS Regulatory Exam.
- Comprehensive Commercial Insurance product knowledge, technical Commercial Insurance knowledge of underwriting criteria, and legal requirements of the insurance industry.
- Sales Acumen: Strong selling, influencing and negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical: Excellent business acumen, analytical ability, and numeracy skills.
- Personal Drive: Assertiveness, self-motivated, result-oriented/deadline-oriented, and an ability to work under pressure.
