Network Security Engineer - 24-Month Contract Pretoria(Hybrid)

Join our team as a Network Security Engineer on a24-month hybrid contract in Pretoria, where you'll help safeguard criticalinfrastructure and design secure, scalable network solutions. This rolerequires 2-3 days per week on-site.

• Design, implement, and maintain robust networksecurity infrastructure to protect Customer's digital environment.
• Manage and optimize security platforms includingfirewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), DDoS mitigation tools, VPNs,secure email gateways, and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
• Monitor network traffic to detect anomalies,investigate potential threats, and respond promptly to security incidents.
• Conduct forensic analysis and support incidentresponse to ensure timely containment and resolution of security events.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies,ISO/IEC 27002 standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the lifecycle management of digitalcertificates and the secure provisioning of third-party network connections.
• Manage and resolve network security requests andincidents through the Remedy system within agreed service levels.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation,configurations, and incident logs to support audits and risk reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identifyvulnerabilities, recommend security enhancements, and strengthen overallnetwork defence.

• Bachelor's degree in information security,Computer Science, OR Matric with 6-8 years of Network Security experience.
• Certifications such as CCNP Security, CISSP, orequivalent industry-recognised credentials.
• 7+ years' experience in network securityengineering or related fields.
• Proven ability to manage and maintainenterprise-scale security infrastructure.
• Strong background in incident response, threatmitigation, and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience in regulated environments withadherence to ISO/IEC 27002 standards.
