Ministry Intern Calvary Bible Church
Job Description
Do you want to jump right into ministry while continuing to pursue your education?
Do you want to receive one on one mentoring from someone in pastoral ministry?
Do you want to be part of God working to revitalize a local church?
Do you want to be part of a small town local church family?
Do you feel like you do not quite fit in with the churches your friends attend, but need somewhere safe to grow, learn, and serve?
Then join us at Calvary Bible Church as a ministry intern! In addition to being an excellent experience for your resume, this opportunity will allow you to thrive in both receiving spiritual guidance and guiding others. This is true especially if you think of yourself as a bit of a "misfit." We have learned that God often uses and redeems even the least "likely" people in this world as some of God's greatest servants.
Internship Offers- In the Field Ministry Training and Mentorship: Work directly alongside experienced local church leaders in a supportive, low pressure environment. You will have the freedom to experiment, learn from setbacks, and grow your skills without fear of failure-building a ministry from the ground up in a safe space.
- Hands On Roles in Music, Sound, or Technology (optional): If you are musically gifted, lead worship through music, manage sound equipment, handle live streaming, oversee social media, and more. We are primarily seeking students with a passion for these areas to help modernize our outreach while preserving the church's welcoming, community focused heritage; however, even if you are not musically inclined, we would still love to have you join us as an intern!
- Broader Ministry Involvement: Even if tech or music are not your primary giftings, anyone with a desire to contribute to small church revitalization is welcome. Help foster discipleship, community events, and sustainable growth in a close knit setting.
- Flexibility for Seminary Students: No need to pause your studies-this is designed for MBTS or Spurgeon College students who want real world experience under a local pastor's guidance. As the ministry expands, opportunities for paid roles, fundraising support, and advancement may emerge.

Note: We are an SBC church with a working relationship with MBTS.
