Medical Billing & Collections Administrator

A well-established, specialist medical practice in Arcadia, Pretoria is looking to appoint a Medical Billing and Collections Administrator to join their accounts team. This role is ideally suited to someone with strong medical billing and debt collection experience, who understands the nuances of working with medical aids.

What you will be responsible for:
  • End-to-end medical billing, including Rule J submissions
  • Following up on outstanding accounts and driving collections
  • Liaising directly with medical aids and patients
  • Ensuring accurate processing and reconciliation of accounts
  • Supporting the broader accounts function in a fast-paced environment
What we are looking for:
  • Proven experience in medical billing and debt collection
  • Hands-on exposure to Rule-J billing is essential
  • Previous experience dealing with medical aids
  • Experience on GoodX Desktop (highly advantageous)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work to deadlines
  • A proactive, results-driven mindset
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English
  • Experience within optometry or a related medical field will be advantageous, although candidates from other medical disciplines will be considered
