Our client, in the healthcare industry, is looking for an experienced Medical Billing Administrator for a 6 - 12-month fixed term contract. The ideal candidate is a mature, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a structured environment and takes pride in accuracy.

Responsibilities:
  • Accurately capture patient information
  • Verify patient medical aid details: MSV
  • Code and submit claims to medical aids/third-party payers via EDI, email, or post
  • Ensure receipt and payment of submitted claims
  • Follow up on outstanding claims
  • Resolve claim rejections timeously
  • Liaise with medical aid schemes for escalations, including PMB reviews
  • Communicate with patients/members regarding rejected or short paid claims
  • Run statement batches for short paid accounts
  • Send individual SMS notifications to patients/members
  • Respond to email and telephonic queries professionally
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in medical coding and billing
  • Experience using at least one medical billing software system
  • Strong administrative accuracy and attention to detail
Added Advantages
  • Experience with Elixir live billing software
