The company possesses an enviable in house engineering capability, employing a team of chemical, metallurgical, and mechanical engineers who provide process engineering design, R&D, and support services for our potable and effluent water treatment, solid liquid separation, chemical dosing, remote monitoring and control, and mineral process optimisation plants. We focus on the operations and maintenance of water treatment plants, equipment, and water related infrastructure by deploying trained and qualified operating and maintenance personnel to client facilities. Watercare Innovations is based in Charlotte, the United States, and Gauteng South Africa.

Summary

Mechanical Engineers design, research, build, test, and improve mechanical and electrical devices, equipment, and systems within Watercare Mining equipment range.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyzing problems and coming up with designs to solve them.
  • Networking and collaborating with other engineers and professionals.
  • Working within the budget to deliver safe and efficient products on time.
  • Manage budget of equipment and material ordered against proposed budget.
  • Working with CFD and other design programs.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attending meetings and providing input and updates.
  • Analyzing data to write up reports.
  • Communicating with staff, directors and clients.
  • Manage Quality and Quality data packs on all projects.
  • Assist with plant establishment and commissioning.
  • Travel to different sites locally as well as international as required.
  • Comply to the Watercare Mining SHEQ IMS (Integrated Management System).

  • Proven knowledge and experience of practicing as a competent person.
  • Provide project support in achieving success through adequate design.

  • Knowledge of applicable legislations and ISO Standards.
