Job Description

Simond Private School is seeking a dynamic and passionate Mathematics Teacher to inspire and guide learners across Grades 8-12. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction in Mathematics (IEB), while possibly also contributing to Natural Science teaching within the CAPS and IEB frameworks.

The ideal candidate is a committed educator who combines strong subject expertise with innovative teaching methods, effectively integrating technology to enhance learning. Beyond the classroom, the teacher plays a vital role in learner development, assessment, and meaningful engagement with parents and colleagues.

This position calls for a values-driven professional who demonstrates integrity and resilience, and actively contributes to the broader school community through co-curricular involvement and collaborative teamwork.

Commencement date: As soon as possible.

Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Mathematics Education (Afrikaans and English) or equivalent.
  • SACE registration - essential.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' teaching experience in Mathematics Education will be advantageous.
  • IEB experience advantageous.
  • Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills.
  • Proficient in integrating technology into teaching.
  • Police clearance and clearance from the National Register for Sex Offenders (NRSO).
  • Commitment to Simond Private School's Christian ethos and educational philosophy
