Job Summary To execute the MI analytics mandate through the design, development and day to day management of Power BI data models and reporting solutions, in line with the MI strategy, architecture and development standards defined by the MI Development Manager and the Risk Head of Data, Risk and Control. The role is responsible for managing the Power BI book of work, coordinating operational delivery across demand priorities, executing within the established production and automation environment, and managing vendor resources to ensure high quality, scalable and sustainable MI outputs. Job Description Key Competencies: Power BI Development & Analytics Delivery Lead the design and development of Power BI semantic models, datasets and dashboards, ensuring alignment to approved architecture, modelling standards and business requirements. Execute enhancement and change requests within the defined MI strategy, ensuring solutions are performant, scalable and fit for purpose. Apply best practice Power BI development disciplines, data model efficiency and governed reuse of assets. Book of Work & Delivery Management Manage the Power BI and MI delivery backlog, ensuring effective prioritization, planning and execution in line with agreed business and risk priorities. Coordinate delivery across multiple initiatives, balancing run the bank work with change demand. Provide clear progress updates, delivery timelines and risk visibility to MI leadership and key stakeholders. MI Automation & Operational Execution Execute and support automated MI processes and reporting jobs within the existing production environment, in collaboration with platform and technology owners. Monitor day to day MI operational processes, identifying issues, coordinating resolution and contributing to root cause analysis where required. Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing manual intervention and improving MI resilience. Risk, Control & Governance Operate within established risk, control and governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to change management, access management, documentation and audit requirements. Support control attestations, issue remediation and audit engagements related to MI reporting and analytics delivery. Proactively identify operational risks, dependencies and control gaps, escalating where appropriate. Vendor & People Management Line manage two EXL resources, providing day to day direction, delivery oversight, performance feedback and capability development. Manage EXL execution against agreed outcomes, ensuring quality, accountability and adherence to delivery standards. Foster a delivery focused, collaborative team culture with an emphasis on accountability and continuous improvement. Stakeholder Engagement Engage with stakeholders across Risk, Business, MI and Technology to clarify requirements, manage expectations and ensure aligned outcomes. Translate business and risk requirements into clear analytics deliverables, communicating progress and issues effectively. Technical Expertise Strong hands on experience in Power BI development. Experience working with automated MI and reporting environments in a production context. Solid understanding of data quality, reconciliations, controls and enterprise reporting principles. Working knowledge of SAS; experience with additional data platforms would be advantageous. Delivery & Operational Capability Proven experience managing a delivery backlog or book of work in an analytics or MI environment. Strong execution discipline with the ability to work within defined architectural and governance constraints. Proven management experience.
