Lead the Way: Manager of Environmental Management Services

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa (Hybrid Working/ 3 Office Days a week)

The Opportunity

As the lead for our Environmental Management Services, you will bridge the gap between technical excellence and commercial strategy. You won't just manage projects; you will shape the future of how we deliver environmental and social solutions.

Your core mission will involve
  • Leading at Scale: Heading up large, multi country Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) programmes within the resources and infrastructure sectors.
  • Strategic Growth: Driving business development by securing new work, owning a pipeline of revenue, and acting as a trusted advisor to key clients.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Developing a multidisciplinary team of environmental project managers and specialists across various regions.
  • Operational Excellence: Managing departmental performance, financials, and resource planning to ensure high quality delivery and client satisfaction.
What you bring to the table

We are looking for a commercial minded leader who thrives in a consulting environment and possesses a deep understanding of the mining industry.

  • Experience: 8+ years in environmental consulting with a proven track record in managing large, complex, international projects.
  • Technical Expertise: A postgraduate degree in Environmental Management (or related field) and a solid grasp of international environmental standards and legislation.
  • Business Acumen: Strong commercial skills, including project financial management and the ability to win work.
  • Communication: Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Professionalism: Professional registration (EAPASA or equivalent) is highly preferred.
