Maintenance Supervisor (Gardens & Grounds)

Job Description

Dikhololo Resort is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the upkeep and presentation of our gardens and grounds. This role is ideal for a hands on individual with a passion for landscaping, team leadership, and maintaining high standards in a resort environment.

Key Performance Areas
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the gardens and grounds team
  • Ensure all landscaped areas, lawns, pathways, and outdoor facilities are well maintained
  • Plan and implement seasonal planting, irrigation, and maintenance schedules
  • Monitor and maintain gardening equipment and tools
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Assist with general maintenance tasks as required
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience in garden and grounds maintenance, preferably in a resort or hospitality environment
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems, landscaping techniques, and plant care
  • Strong organisational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
Key Competencies and Personal Attributes
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good communication skills
  • Valid matric / Grade 12 certificate and code B driver's licence

Location: Dikhololo in Brits.
