Our Client is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to manage and control factory maintenance operations to ensure optimal equipment performance, minimal downtime, and safe delivery of production targets and quality standards.

Job Requirements
  • Trade Test (NQF 5) - required
  • Certificate in Technical/Maintenance field (NQF 5) - required
  • First Line Management Certificate (NQF 5) - required
  • Diploma in Technical field (NQF 6) - advantageou
  • Up to 5 years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1-2 years' supervisory experience.
  • Experience working shifts (advantageo
  • MS Office proficiency
  • SAP / ERP systems knowledge
  • Strong understanding of maintenance systems and manufacturing safety regulations
Job Duties
  • Oversee reactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance on plant and equipment.
  • Coordinate first-line maintenance to minimise downtime and production disruptions.
  • Raise, manage, and approve job cards and ensure required work permits are in place.
  • Conduct and lead root cause analysis (5 WHY, 8D, etc.) on equipment failures.
  • Monitor plant shutdowns and ensure effective feedback and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (SHE) regulations.
  • Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards in all work areas.
  • Supervise and manage maintenance team performance, including appraisals and development plans.
  • Manage departmental budget, control maintenance costs, and identify cost saving opportunities.
  • Prepare reports and provide feedback to the Engineering Maintenance Manager.
