Maintenance Manager
Job Description
The Maintenance Manager role is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. This role requires technical expertise, leadership and strategic thinking to support the organisations goals and maintain operational excellence.
Qualifications and Minimum Requirements- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering
- Government Certificate of Competency (GCC)
- 8 a0 12 yearsB; experience in the FMCG industry with processing and packaging equipment
- 5 yearsB; experience in managing and leading a team
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge in processing, packaging & utilities machinery.
- Excellent people management & business management skills
- Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies TPM and WCM.
- Unplanned & Planned Maintenance management
- ISO Quality Management & HACCP Knowledge
- Developing & implementing Business Continuity Risk Analysis
- Defining & implementing asset management strategy for preventive & predictive maintenance
- Ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all site safety related requirements
- Support continuous improvement of safety in the plant
- Ensure that Supply Chain delivers stock according to the demand plan efficiently and consistently to release minimal out-of-stocks across all portfolios - Conformance to Packaging Schedule (PCTS), Out of Stock Edward Snell Portfolio and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality products - key focus on Quality System certification/compliance
- Ensuring all engineering & maintenance activities support & protect product quality & food safety standards
- Supporting internal & external audits by driving corrective actions in maintenance & engineering
- Maintaining compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000 & relevant regulatory requirements
- Implementing operational efficiency by improving equipment reliability & attaining maintenance efficiencies
- Managing engineering budgets, R&M cost managed within Budget
- Leading projects from concept to commissioning
- CAPEX completion in budget on-time-in-full
- Managing costs of utilities including steam, compressed air, water and electricity
- Leading & developing the engineering team
- Leading & managing Operators' autonomous maintenance
- Develop & manages engineering team succession pipeline
