Maintenance Handyman - Luxury Wine Estate - Franschhoek

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Handyman for a luxury wine estate based in Franschhoek.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and hardworking individual with general maintenance experience to join a well-established hospitality property and assist in ensuring the estate is maintained to the highest standards.

Position Type: Live-out

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and annual servicing of tools and equipment
  
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments
  
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues and carry out necessary repairs
  
• Conduct general handyman duties including plumbing, basic electrical work, carpentry, painting, and building repairs
  
• Ensure building maintenance requests are attended to efficiently and professionally
  
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs completed
  
• Manage and monitor inventory of tools, equipment, spare parts, and maintenance materials
  
• Liaise with external contractors and service providers when required
  

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in general electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and/or heat pump repairs and maintenance
  
• Previous hotel or property maintenance experience would be advantageous
  
• Good understanding of safe working procedures relating to electrical tools and equipment
  
• Basic hand tool and electrical knowledge essential
  
• Preference will be given to candidates residing in Franschhoek or neighbouring areas
  
• Matric Certificate required
  
• Technical qualification in Facilities, Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field beneficial
  
• Valid driver's licence advantageous
