Loss Prevention Officer - Midrand

Dis-Chem Pharmacies' Head Office has an opportunity available for a Loss Prevention Officer to join the team. The role is to monitor premises to reduce losses due to theft and fraud. Conducts loss reduction programs, operational auditing, investigations and assists with prosecutions and ensure employees understand and follow policies and procedures for loss prevention and cash handling.

• Grade 12 - Matric
• Grade B accreditation with the PSIRA
• 2 years minimum experience in a similar environment

• Warehouse or Retail Security experience
• PSIRA Grade A

• Monitor surveillance of exits and entrances, emergency exits, back rooms and delivery areas.
• Keep an eye out for shoplifters who are hiding merchandise on their person, switching price tags or otherwise attempting to steal from the store.
• Train and develop managers and store detectives in shortage control.
• Build a team/partnership environment with Managers to ensure exceptional operational controls.
• Collaborate with law enforcement to report or investigate crimes within the store.
• Assist Human Resource Department with investigation.
• Housekeeping must be in accordance to Dis-Chem standards. Make sure that your work station is always clean and tidy.
• Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations.
• Adhere to Dis-Chem Uniform and personal appearance policy.

• Knowledge of Relevant Acts, industry standards and training objectives
• English - Read, Speak and Write
• Trustworthy and Honest
• 2nd Additional language.

• South African citizen
• MIE, clear criminal and credit
• Driver's license and/or own reliable transport
