Job Description

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
  • Working in steel industry.
  • At least 2 years' experience in warehouse environment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
  • Grade 12 certificate or Equivalent qualification.
BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS
  • Product Knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Hardworking and reliable.
  • Be able to work under pressure.
  • Be able to work shift.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse layout.
  • Proven ability to make decisions
  • Attention to details.
PRIMARY FUNCTION OF THE POSITION
  • Eliminate stock damages and consumable wastage.
  • Thoroughly check stock before loading
  • Attention to Detail (investigate and rectify anything that looks incorrect no matter how small)
  • Load balancing as per type of steel and hardness.
  • To make sure that stock that is loaded out of Central warehouse is correct and is physically checked and verified in terms of all dimensions, quantity as well as quality.
  • General house keeping
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
  • Assist in loading and offloading of Material.
  • To identify, check and verify goods loaded against authorized loading documents. The successful incumbent will receive on the job training on the standard operating procedures.
