Introduction

To focus on new business development and improve customer compliance and satisfaction for new Link wholesale sales pharmacy aiming to maximise sales, profit, product availability and margin.

Relationship building
  • Identify, build relationships with and influence key internal and external stakeholders to gain good understanding of stakeholder needs to interpret all existing and new market research.
  • Effectively and proactively liaise with other departments to ensure cross functional integration and execution of strategy.
  • Generate demand by building relationships with key clients.
Research and Analysis
  • Conduct market research to influence Link brand opportunities.
  • Determine target markets and marketing strategies based on customer demographics, attitudes, and behaviours.
  • Identify current and future product, market and customer information needs through primary and/or secondary market research.
  • Drive sales aligned to the business strategic objectives to increase profitability and expand footprint.
  • Increase the Link pharmacy customer base and purchasing compliance.
  • Proactively direct sales to new prospects or potential customers.
  • Measure the implementation of the business plan.
  • Achieve planned sales targets.
Marketing
  • Grow the Link brand through effective channel brand management.
  • Manage and promote the Link Brand (Advertising around Link; Standards of Link Stores; POS material for Link LOB marketing).
  • Screen potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements and financial needs.
  • Plan and negotiate contracts and clients.
Reporting
  • Compile and provide accurate reporting on profitability, trading agreements, updates and other general requirements related to the portfolio.

Required Minimum Education and Qualification
  • Matric.
  • Relevant qualification in Sales and Marketing or similar.
  • QPB or pharmacy qualification will be advantageous.
Minimum Experience Required
  • Critical: 3 - 5 years pharmaceutical industry experience at management / professional level with independent pharmacy experience.
  • 3 - 5 years experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales and marketing.
  • Valid driver's licence and willing to travel.
