POST: Lecturer: Primary Agriculture L2-L4 SALARY: R.00 plus 37% in lieu of benefits DURATION: April to 31 December 2026 CENTRE: Temba Campus Reference: TNC/TC/26 - 03/2 Requirements:
  • Matric certificate/NCV L4 plus an appropriate M+3 Qualification (National Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree) in Agricultural Science or Agricultural Management with majors in Plant Production and Animal Production.
  • Professional qualification in Education.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SACE registration.
  • 0-1 year teaching experience in Primary Agriculture L2-4.
  • Assessor/Moderator qualification is an added advantage.
Duties:
  • Teach Agribusiness, Plant Production, Animal Production, and Soil Science L2-L4 within the Primary Agriculture Programme.
  • Prepare assessment and moderation.
  • Conduct assessments and marking of tasks.
  • Conduct ISAT/PAT examinations as prescribed by DHET.
  • Prepare files (POA & POE), record-keep and lesson-plan.
  • Conduct classes on the above-mentioned subjects.
  • Organise relevant curricular activities to ensure proper subject learning.
  • Partake in Primary Agriculture preparations at the farm before conducting ISAT/PAT.
  • Assess and record learner attainment.
  • Assist with issuance and retrieval of textbooks and manage equipment.
  • Organise experiential training for students.
  • Report and account for student performance within their programmes.
  • Record and report absenteeism.
  • Perform other relevant duties within the ambit of teaching and learning.
